Let me tell you, though. The years go by faster and faster the older we get. When I was first published in the early '80s, I would wish away the months as I waited for a new book to hit the shelves. Somewhere along the way, I stopped wishing my life away. I knew the next year would get here, whether I wished it or not.
And speaking of a book coming out ... (how's that for a segue?) ... my latest novel was shipped special delivery to my local Family Christian store for a signing last week (it won't reach other stores for another week or two). A Matter of Character is the third and final book in the Sisters of Bethlehem Springs series. Unlike Kim, I don't sit down and read my books when I get them. You know why? Because there is always something I find that I wish I'd done a little differently. If possible, I would probably still be editing and tweaking my very first book, all these years later.
Finally, I want to tell you to "Save the Date." On Friday, May 21st, I’ll be hosting a virtual release party for my new novel, A Matter of Character! Readers and friends from all over the world can join together to meet with me and with each other. The party will be held from 6 pm-8 pm (Mountain Daylight Time) on my Facebook “Robin Lee Hatcher, Novelist” Page under the Notes tab: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Robin-Lee-Hatcher-Novelist/48662178098?v=app_2347471856&ref=mf
If you’re not already a participant on my Novelist Page, please click the “Like” button now! During the party, I’ll be giving away autographed copies of A Matter of Character to friends, fans, and party participants. I’ll also be revealing some behind-the-scenes information about the book and answering as many questions as I can. And look for some information to be released during the evening about a great contest I'll be hosting along with my publisher Zondervan. (Trust me, you do not want to miss entering this contest!)

ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone, for the lovely birthday wishes. It won't come around on a Monday again for another six years, so I'll have to think of other things to blog about.
