It's Christian Women's Week!
Isn't it sweet to know we have a week specifically to reflect on what it means to be a woman who chose to follow the Savior? We are so many things to others--sisters, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, granddaughters, aunts, nieces. But today I'd like you to take time out to think what it means to be yourself, alone, in Christ Jesus. What are your emotions, your strengths and weaknesses? What are your joys and concerns?
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, ESSENTIAL, UNIQUE AND BELOVED TO THE LORD.
I celebrate each of you and wish you a heart filled with Christ.

Christian Woman's Heart
'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.'
When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am cleanliving.
I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'
I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect.
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

WOW Cathy! Thank you SO much for this BEAUITFUL poem!! What an encouragement and a blessing you are :) My favorite line was: “A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her.” What a POWERFUL line! It’s the foundation for a breathtaking love story scripted by the original Author of romance! You made me cry- in a good way ;)

Love it! I've read that before, and each time the words touch me to the core. Today in church, the sermon was on kindness (Fruit of the Spirit series) and how Christ's kindness should be reflected in us. If we as Christian women lived this poem out to its fullest, people couldn't help but see Christ in us. And isn't that our goal?
