If you're interested in receiving one of these books, just leave a comment on today's blog (Tuesday, July 19) throughout the week. I'll draw names and then announce the winners next Tuesday. If you have a particular title of a book you'd like (of the ones listed below), include that too. We'll play "first come first served," and then go from there.
Here are your choices...

I'm eagerly anticipating an annual writers retreat that I've been attending each summer since 2003, and I can hardly wait to be with this fabulous group of women again. We brainstorm each other's books––while laughing and eating––and we have such a wonderful time. But until then, I'm working hard on my next book––developing characters, getting to know them, finding out what makes them tick, and what they want more than anything else in the world. And what it is that they're most afraid of confronting in order to get whatever that "anything" is!
I love the brainstorming part of writing. When the possibilities and ideas are flowing and all the "what ifs" abound. It's the actual writing that's just flat hard and that oftentimes lacks any shred of fun. But there are those moments…
Moments when everything seems to come together, when the characters are speaking so clearly in the air around me that I can hardly type fast enough. When I can feel every emotion. When I type something on the screen and then read what I've just typed and know without a doubt that it's something God wanted me to know. A whisper from Him. And those moments are what keep me writing. These journeys He and I take together, and then that you and I take together too. They're precious to me. And so are you.
So...thanks for reading, dear friends––all of you who comment here routinely and those of you who silently lurk. You're appreciated! Now leave a quick comment to be entered in the drawing for one of the above books. Oh! And if it's a cutely snarky comment about Robin or Judy then your name will be entered twice! Heh, heh, heh…
Looking for my halo...it's here somewhere,
And the winners are...
Nowhere Carolina goes to CASEY
A Distant Melody goes to MEGHAN
