What if social networking were alive and well back in Jesus' day? His birth might have been announced in a similar manner as this...
I don't know about you, but when the name JESUS appeared across the screen, I discovered the letters were blurry. Blurry from the tears flooding my eyes. HE CAME into this world for YOU and for ME and for anyone else who chooses to BELIEVE.
In the eleventh chapter of John, Jesus tells Martha, "Didn't I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?" What a precious gift...and all we have to do is receive it. Believe, and everything changes. We experience a peace, a joy so deep nothing of the world can remove it from us. And then...one day...we will see the Glory of God with our own eyes. All because JESUS came into this world as a tiny Baby destined to set us free from bondage and secure our relationship with the Father.
JESUS...Emmanuel...God with us.
I trust you are celebrating the true meaning of CHRISTmas this season. May God bless you muchly as you journey with HIM!
~Kim
Kim, what a fabulous posting! I was soooo moved by the video and to actually see the story of the birth of Jesus, written so aptly as a scenario of today's modern lingo and let's face it..today's "teen talk",if you know what I mean, was brilliant! The message came through loud and clear!:)
ReplyDeleteI have always loved the Hymn O Come ,O Come Emanuel and found myself singing along too.
Christmas has ALWAYS been special for me...I still see my wonderful Dad taking the Christmas Services, beginning on Christmas Eve with Children's Church at 6:00PM ,then Midnight Mass beginning at 11:00PM with a huge congregation attending! The next service was our early one at 6:00AM, then 8:00AM and finally 10:00AM. We had the choir at all the services and the Procession at the beginning of each of the services was a fantastic fanfare in honour of our Saviour"s birth. The singing was glorious!
I feel so privileged to share this magnificent day with HIM!
A great start to our day, with our family celebrations!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and joyous Christmas Kim!
Rosie
Awesome, Kim! Thanks for your post. It is so good to focus on HIM, the reason for the season! I get so emotional thinking about what price my Savior paid for me. I wonder how many people are thinking,
ReplyDeleteWe have Christmas so we can have Easter........
Linda
Rosie, thanks for sharing a bit of your CHRISTmas with us. Music is one of my favorite parts of this time of year. I never tire of the hymns--they speak to my heart. :o)
ReplyDeleteAnd YES, Linda, without CHRISTmas there would be no Easter. Puts a lump in my throat... Thanks for stopping by, and Merry CHRISTmas to both of you!
This is such a neat video and I loved the music too!
ReplyDeleteGREAT post today, sweet Kim---thank you for sharing with us. Wow, that video was amazing (I hadn't viewed it before) and what a clever way to reach today's tech-savvy folks. ~ May we all keep the focus on WHO this wondrous season is all about--and the miracle that took place so many years ago. ~ Merry Christmas! Hugs, Patti Jo :)
ReplyDeleteHeather and Patti Jo, I thought, too, the video was a neat way to impact "today's generation." The best thing about Jesus is that HE never grows "out-of-date"! And He's as available to us today as He was 2,000 years ago. Merry CHRISTmas to you!
ReplyDeleteDearest Kim, what a beautiful video.. no matter how many times you read the message in Luke seeing it in detail like this is overwhelming.. I can't stop crying, how amazing that God sent this precious baby to us and He became our Saviour, and no words can do justice to the feelings in my heart for all the things he suffered just for us.. And no matter what we do in our lives he loves us unconditionally, now and forever. How blessed we are indeed.. thank you for sharing this for me and it is one I would like to keep to see over and over, hugs and rpayers to you and all your faithful followers..
ReplyDeleteMarti, thanks so much for popping by--and I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. It gets to the heart, doesn't it? Merry CHRISTmas to you!
