Dual love notes from God

Don't you love it when God speaks to you on an issue once, and then again right after. That happened to me earlier this morning. Robin, thank you for sharing about The Voice with us yesterday. Wow, what a blessing. I've already downloaded my copy.

I've been asking the Lord to help me be more aware of His presence in my life, and when I read today's passage in Jesus Calling (by Sarah Young), I heard him speaking:

I AM WITH YOU, watching over you constantly. I am Emmanuel (God with you); My Presence enfolds you in radiant Love. Nothing, including the brightest blessings and the darkest trials, can separate you from Me. Some of My children find Me more readily during dark times, when difficulties force them to depend on Me. Others feel closer to Me when their lives are filled with good things. They respond with thanksgiving and praise, thus opening wide the door to My Presence.

I know precisely what you need to draw nearer to Me. Go through each day looking for what  have prepared for you. Accept every event as My hand-tailored provision for your needs. When you view your life this way, the most reasonable response is to be thankful. Do not reject any of my gifts; find Me in every situation.

Then...

I read Robin's post from yesterday and clicked on the following passage (Psalm 23) from The Voice...

That was such an encouragement to me. I hope you found it the same.

Have you ever had those "dual loves notes"from God? Sometimes––just keepin' it real here, as they say––I've had "dual discipline notes" from God too. Those aren't nearly as fun, but they do get my attention. And even in the discipline and in the learning (and re-learning), I sense his love. His Eternal Presence.

  1. Hi Tammy!

Thank you for your Post today. It is exactly what I needed to read. Between both you and Robyn, for me, this week is beginning to look good!

As you know, I have had some difficult times over the past few weeks, coping with the eye op and side effects that went with it and other stresses which popped up when I least expected.

The particular posts that you ladies have presented, has given me a lot of food for thought and I felt an inner peace as I read your words tonight.

I trust your Memorial Day went well for you yesterday. I thought of you all and I am sure that many tributes were made to your wonderful troops, who gave 100% to fight for the freedom of your country.

Our Anzac Day was 25th April, and I am sure we celebrated it in a similar manner to what went on in the US.
Americans and Aussies alike, were allies,(not forgetting other countries too) so that is how I feel with all of you WOP ladies..a wonderfully supportive "Family" network and I feel proud to be part of it!:) I salute you!

I'm sorry to say I wasn't able to read/comment on Robin's post, as I had a house-full yesterday! But I'll go back right now and check it out. ~ ROSIE!!! Welcome back, sweet friend! We've missed you sooo much on here and continue praying for you! Love, Patti Jo

Oh yes! We did manage to get hooked up in the earthquakes in NZ.
I took photos of our hotel with all the supports and the steel plates on the flooring! Why do I think living on the edge is fun?? I seem to go from one extreme to the other! LOL!

  5. Rosie!! So good to see you!! How are you doing??

Tammy, thank you for your post today. I'm still struggling over here. I know God has a plan with my job and all...it just hurts so badly as God is moving me around. Keep praying please, ladies. I've been on the phone a lot lately talking to people higher up in the company. Sounds like they're not happy about how I've been strung along. Doubtful that they'll release me from my contract...but God does work miracles still these days. I'm praying for a huge one. :-) Erik asked me today how I'm doing...I think I'm just out of sorts and worn out. Too many emotions...

  6. Father God, we're asking you to pour your love and assurance on Catherine, and on your plans for her. You know the details of the jobs and opportunities in her area down to the jot and tittle. And Lord, we want what YOU want more than we want what WE want. Even though we can REALLY want what we want. But we want your will MORE. So please rule and reign in these choices Catherine is (or will be) facing, and help her to feel your love. And ours too. Through Christ, always...

    Hugs to you, Catherine!

  8. Prayers!! I just received a phone call and my company is going to let me go direct this year! HUGE PRAISE! But prayers still needed as I will have to apply like everyone else, and we now know that including myself, there are 3 people applying for two positions.

  9. Continuing to pray for you Catherine, remember that God is in control and is ever mindful of our need. It will all work out just fine.
Love the post Tammy. This week I am visiting in PJ's neck of the woods. Relaxing and enjoying my family. Visited the Atlanta Aquarium yesterday and oh my with all the variety of fish and sea animals, how can anyone not believe in God the magnificent Creator!

  11. I was thinking if you take what Tammy wrote today and look at what Robin wrote yesterday. Pretty cool.

I heard someone liken our lives to a see-saw. When we look at our problems, they go up, consequently God and the solution goes down. When we are thankful (we can always find something to be thankful for...even if it is only the ability to breathe), then God goes up and the problem goes down. Or, God becomes bigger and the problem becomes smaller.

That idea meant so much to me, especially when I am in the mood to (not literally) kill my kids, I am forcing myself to remember to be thankful and keep my eye on HIS promises.

    God is so awesome.
