Guest Blogger Clyde Fills In

Hello. It's me, Clyde Whiskers Sawyer, filling in for my human 'cause she's...well...tuckered. It's been a reallllllly busy week for her. She said she was too tired to type, so I said that was okay--I could put my paws to the keyboard and tell everybody what's been going on around here.

First of all, we now have an official library in the B&B. My human was so happy when the shelves she ordered way back in April finally arrived. It didn't take her very long to get her books put away, and her hubby was happy that the last of the boxes could go to the recycling center instead of sitting all stacked up in the corner of the room.

Kinda pretty, isn't it? But we kitties aren't allowed to climb on it. My human has made that very clear. So in a way, I miss the boxes. Nobody said, "No, no, Clyde--get down!" when I jumped on the boxes. *sigh*

Then, right after the shelves got here, some PEOPLE got here! People my human calls "critique partners." They're actually pretty nice. They're good petters, and the one named Miss Connie gives good hugs. Miss Connie even brought us kitties some new mousies. I think that was pretty nice of her.

When all those critique partners showed up, another room got changed. My human's office. Those ladies pushed everything to the middle of the room, then they all pulled old wallpaper off the walls, and then my human and Miss Connie dipped these brushes and stuff into pans of color and put the color on the walls. (Did you know if you sniff that colored stuff it makes you sneeze? It does, so be careful, but it makes the walls looks very nice.)

My human likes purrrple. A lot. In case you didn't already know that. So anyway, the walls are purrrple now. Dark purrrple and soft purrrple. And I have to say--even though I don't know a lot about decorating (I am just a cat, you know)--it looks pretty nice. If I could operate my human's camera I'd share a picture. But that'll have to wait until another week.

My human wanted everybody to know she appreciated all the visits to her website last week during the Scavenger Hunt. She said 95 people dropped by and said hello. That's a lot of people! But only one could win a book, so I'm supposed to tell ANNA BRASWELL she will get a copy of my human's newest book, When Hope Blossoms, as soon as she has them, which shouldn't be much longer. Anna, please email my human (kim at kimvogelsawyer dot com) and tell her your mailing address so she knows where to send the book. And just so's you know, I sat on my human's lap a lot while she wrote the story and made sure she included some cats. So be sure and look for the kitties when you read it.

Well, I guess that's about it. While you're reading this, my human and all those critique partners are in Ponca City, Oklahoma (wherever that is), visiting something called the Marland Mansion (whatever that is). She'll probably tell you about that later, too. And while she's gone, I'm gonna take a nice long nap on the sofa in the library. It's a pretty great place to relax. Even for cats.

As my human would say, God bless you mousely...er, muchly as you journey with Him!

Sincerely,
Clyde Whiskers Sawyer

  1. Clyde, it's so good to see you blogging here this morning! My husband and I are on vacation and I'm already missing our kitties :-)

Looks like you've had a blast the last week, though it also looks crazy busy. How are you handling the move?

  2. Hi, Clyde...so lovely of you to help Kim out like that, though i do know you are a helpful buddy. After all, you kept those boxes of books secure by being on them. Hope you don't get lonely, and i hope you do get lots of relaxation till Kim gets home. Congratulations, Anna, on the win.

  5. Clyde, you are a very lovely cat, and smart, too. Everything is grammatically correct.

Nice Library. Someone has good taste.

The scavenger hunt was fun to participate in. There are so many wonderful authors out there.

  8. Clyde, you are a great blogger! You be sure and let us know again when you are taking over for your human. Purple walls! I love it! Your human is not the only one who loves purple! We will have to see pictures.

  9. Hello Clyde!

I know I am VERY late in responding to your purrrfectly wonderful Post!
I was very late home from work as I am caring for some very sick little kitties (kiddies..babies). They need our Prayers desperately.

Perhaps your human will keep them in her Prayers too.

I think you have found a kitty lover in Miss Connie and I think it's very nice of her to bring you some little mousies.

Please tell your human that I think her library looks fantastic.I think she has excellent taste in interior decorating. But while your human is away, the mice (er kitties) will play! Are you allowed to sleep on the sofa? I won't tell if you don't, but it sounds a little catty kippers(fishy) to me!:0)

I am kitty sitting Ginger and puppy (dare I say that word??) sitting, Max and Lucy this weekend. ALL the humans in my family have gone away except for Nannny and Pa Pete!

Your Aussie animal pals (Ginge, Max and Lucy) all send you Purrs and Pawshakes with extra loving Miaows and playful Woofs.

We think you are very clever to fill in at short notice for your beloved human.
Keep up the good work..you are the most computer "litter... ate" cat that we know.:0)

  10. Oh Clyde, how I have missed your blogging! I am so happy your human lets you do that from time to time, especially when she is tired. The library looks wonderful and you look very handsome laying on the sofa in there! Grayson Patrick Young wants to know how come you get to lay on a sofa and he doesn't? I think there is a little kitty envy going on there, don't you? Besides, if I remember correctly, you don't have your front claws, and Grayson does. Makes a big difference. Anyway, tell your human hello and the B&B looks wonderful. Can't wait to visit!

  11. Oh my, we return and discover Clyde has received many kind comments!

Catherine, Clyde is handling the move better than Frances. She is so nervous she is chewing off her fur and creating sore spots. We're working on helping her feel at ease and hope she will settle in all right soon.

Lane Hill House and Debbie, it's always wonderful to connect with other purrrple lovers! *wink*

Marianne, Clyde is amazingly talented as a "holder-downer." Every household needs one. lol!

Patti Jo, as always, you made me laugh! Clyde is even chuckling. Heh heh heh...

Rosie, I will definitely keep your "kiddies" in my prayers! Good to see you pop over here.

And Lynne, yes, those claws make a HUGE difference. None of our kitties would be allowed on anything if they could still snag it all.

Thanks for popping in and responding to Clyde's post! He's a happy little writer. :o)
