Our church has just begun a study of the Book of Galatians, and on Sunday, our founding pastor shared about his early years as a believer. Like me, he came to Christ in the '70s during the last years of the Jesus Movement. It brought up so many wonderful memories.
It was an exciting time, the Jesus Movement. But how drastically things have changed in the past 35+ years in America (and in the world). Last year we had a major political party vote to keep mention of God out of their platform. So sad.
So I just want to say that I am not ashamed of the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. It is the power of God for salvation. And I'm going to continue sharing my story whenever I can to whoever will listen.

Hi Hobin. I must say I agree with you over the Politics statement. We've all been keeping our ears to the ground over here, as to what is happening in the US at the moment with Obama's Inauguration. Whatever your views (and at the risk of making this statement and maybe get my head bitten off by someone who maynot agree with me)I feel just from observation,that Obama is a very decent guy with high Christian principles. Hopefully, this will give you some comfort,that he does care about your beautiful country and it's people. Small consolation I know, but it may just help!:)
