My Animals

My animals are worried about Clyde and want to extend an invitation to snowy Montana.

They said they understand how it can be when owners leave seemingly without warning.

We were just gone for 10 days in Colorado and our animal friends are still adjusting.

Sometimes it takes all your strength to face the day when your human friends are away.

Sometimes it makes you feel a little crazy and even your favorite toy doesn't offer comfort.

Other times you wonder if they will ever come back again.

I think our animal friends are some of the best we will ever know in this world. They love us even when we are unloveable. They rarely hold the past against us, although I think my cat Safari holds grudges now and then.

I love that animals are so forgiving and giving.

They make the world a better place and if I thought I could get away with it, my house would be overflowing with all sorts of pets.

In April I'll have a booktour for 2 weeks in Minnesota and I know my animal friends are going to be very unhappy about it. I thought about getting a pet psychiatrist for them, but figured Molly would "dog" the idea.

I'm still not sure how to break the news to them. The cats often say that everything goes better with a snack, so maybe I'll whip up something special for them and slip in the news as they eat.

Anyway, Clyde the invitation is open - you're always welcome in Montana.

God Bless You!
Tracie

  3. Oh Tracie...how I LOVED your post today--definitely a day-brightener looking at your sweet furry babies. And I feel certain this has given Clyde a much-needed boost also. My Moses has also been concerned about Clyde and keeps PAW-sing to ask about him. ~ I completely agree with what you wrote about our pets being some of the best friends--since my human kiddos have been grown and I can no longer teach school, I cannot imagine my life here at home without all my kitties! (and since my son has been away at college, I've even gotten attached to his bird and bunny while caring for them, LOL). ~ Your Montana looks SO pretty with those mountains and snow*sigh* ~ Enjoy! Hugs, Patti Jo

  4. Eve wasn't surprised in the Garden of Eden when the serpent spoke. I look at pictures of our beloved pets and can't help thinking how wonderful it would be to commune with them on that level again.

  5. Oh Rosie, I wish I could be there to meet you in person, but I don't think it will work out for me since I booktour in April. I haven't heard anything from Clyde yet, but I wasn't sure if he had internet access to read my blog. :)
